15-year-old Allie Rae took on Lainey Wilson’s “4x4xU” during a high-stakes episode of NBC’s The Voice, delivering a performance that showcased her impressive vocal ability, growing confidence and undeniable stage presence.
Despite her young age, the Team Riley Green singer held her own on a song from one of country music’s biggest stars, earning praise from the coaches and leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
Rae took the stage during Cut Week, which marked the biggest elimination in The Voice history. With the competition higher than ever, the young contestant had a lot riding on her performance.

“Tonight, more than half of our artists will see their journeys come to an end,” host Carson Daly explained at the beginning of the episode.
With so much on the line, Rae gave it her all. She confidently tackled the song’s high notes and showed off her stage presence throughout the performance. Her performance clearly impressed the coaches, who were quick to point out how much talent the 15-year-old has.
“Oh my gosh, girl, you are 15 years old. That is crazy,” Kelly Clarkson told her. “Regardless of what happens right now, you are so far ahead of the game, you are going to be incredible.”
Her coach, Riley Green, was equally impressed and even compared Rae to a country music icon.
“Allie Rae, I loved it. Everything about it was great, like a little mini Reba. You’re so fierce. We got to see the best version of you in that performance. I really loved it,” he shared.
As her segment wrapped up, Green also took a moment to reflect on how far Rae has come since her blind audition. He pointed out how much she has grown as a performer in such a short amount of time, especially when it comes to her confidence and stage presence.
“Allie Rae’s definitely grown from her blind and in a short period of time too, she’s only 15 years old, but her stage presence doesn’t feel that way,” he added.

Clarkson also had more kind words for her fellow Texan.
“She’s so cute. Like a natural born little storyteller,” she shared.
Will Allie Rae Make It to the Live Shows?
Following the Cut Week performances, The Voice reduced its remaining 28 contestants to just 12, leaving several artists’ futures in the competition uncertain. Unfortunately, Rae is among those at risk of being eliminated.
However, her journey is not over just yet. Rae is competing for the title of Cut Week Favorite, giving viewers an opportunity to vote and help her earn a spot in the next round. One of the 16 artists still in contention will be selected to move forward, joining the Top 12 as the competition heads into the Live Shows.
Fans will have to wait until next week to learn which artist receives that opportunity.
“We’ll find out the Artist you picked next week when we kick off our six epic weeks of Live Shows,” Daly told viewers at the end of Monday night’s episode.
The Voice returns next week, with the six-week Live Shows kicking off November 9 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
