Duos in any music genre are hard to pull off, but sisters Kendra and Krista make it look oh so natural. Why not, they are professionals and have been playing music together since they were teenagers in North Dakota.

This debut album is not their first time in the studio. They released an EP in 2021. But “Blonde” is their official debut release to the world. Many of the tracks polished and delivered in real life fashion. Meaning there is some sarcasm, some country girl empowerment, and heartbreak just like every one of us has experienced.

The title track, “Blonde” is a fun romp through the machinations of reinventing yourself. “Leroy” is that cowgirl gumption telling that man she’s had enough of him out with the boys and ignoring her. “Move on” is a delightful double entendre lyrical journey through a night at the bar. I especially love “End up us”. I think this one will appeal to all who ended up with their forever person. The current single getting airplay on The Coyote is the heartbreaker “I Tried a Ring On”. I love that the girls wrote a song called “Stupid Prizes” Of course you can imagine what you need to do to win them. “Shoot Tequila” is one of those songs we all can relate to. It’s essentially a love/hate letter to alcohol.

All in all this album has the ability to produce several singles that absolutely deserve a place on any playlist or music chart. I have listened to this album now 4 or 5 times and it gets better with each listen as I find more reasons to listen to it again.

This one is enjoyable for sure.
